“None of the members earns any money to take part. Through this initiative we gain knowledge, technical training and personal development. The love for what we do and the will to change the world are the drivers behind our efforts”

– Paola Brandão Canuto, team captain

The Faraday Racing team

Michael Faraday was an English physicist and chemist and is considered one of the most influential scientists of all time. His most important contributions deal with electricity, electrochemistry and magnetism phenomena. Like the researcher that names the team, the members of Faraday Racing never stop undertaking research and investing in innovation. The next challenge is to compete in the Formula SAE Brazil, an event that will take place in November in Piracicaba, a city in the São Paulo countryside. To reach that goal, the group has created a crowdfunding campaign:

“We receive support from the university and some companies, but the final cost of our car is very high. In order to take part in all the competition’s stages, we need to buy three battery packs from China. Without the batteries there is no energy to accelerate our dream!”

– Izabel Felício, Faraday Racing Marketing Manager

With Enel in electric mobility's pole position

Aiming to innovate and to inject some Brazilian energy in the coverage of Formula E on social media, Enel Brasil has invited team captain Paola to follow the Berlin E-Prix, in Germany, which takes place on June 10th and 11th.

Paola, a third-year Electrical Engineering student at UFF, will see up close the sustainable technology projects that Enel develops for the largest electric car competition in the world.

“By taking a student’s viewpoint to the Formula E coverage, we will be able to convey our projects with a language that is simpler and easier to understand for the Brazilian public. We will also have an excellent opportunity to showcase how open we are to establishing partnerships with universities and start-ups”

– Felipe Conti, Enel Brasil Digital Communications Manager

Looking forward to the trip, Paola promises to represent all her university colleagues at the event: “We are a real team. We work together, we dream together and our results will only be achieved if we stay together. This invitation by Enel is a great boost. I believe we are on the right path!”
