Enel awarded at the National Innovation Prize in Brazil

  • Enel  wins in Innovation Management category and stands out as the most innovative group in the country
  • The award is organized by National Confederation of Industry  - CNI

 

Niterói, 27 June 2017 – Enel in Brazil was awarded in the most important category  from the National Innovation Prize, organized by the National Confederation of Industry  - CNI and the Brazilian Micro and Small Enterprise Support Service (Sebrae). The company competed with Samsung and Natura, Brazilian cosmetic company, and was recognized in the Innovation Management category. The award ceremony took place yesterday (June 26th ), during the opening session of the Brazilian Innovation Congress in São Paulo. Almost 4,000 companies have registered to participate in award and 34 were among the finalists. Enel was also one of the three finalists in the Marketing Innovation category.

“This award is a major achievement for the group in Brazil. We have been working innovatively in all our businesses, including distribution, renewables and energy solutions, and this award demonstrates it. Through Enel Green Power Brasil, we have contributed to the development of  clean energy, we are a leader player in solar generation and we operate the only hybrid solar and wind plant in the country. Enel is  also developing smart grids, digitalising distribution networks and promoting electric mobility.” states Enel's head of Innovation in Brazil, Bruno Cecchetti.

The National Innovation Prize is the foremost award to recognise and promote innovation among Brazilian companies. The prize is handed out to companies in four groups, based on its total revenues, in the following categories: Innovation Management, Product Innovation, Process Innovation, Organisational Innovation, and Marketing Innovation.
