With events on four continents, Intersolar is the largest global trade show in the solar energy generation field and brings together the main players and researchers on the theme. Enel took part in the South American gathering, in São Paulo, together with over 1,500 experts. On the occasion, Enel Soluções manager Marcio Trannin and Enel Green Power Brasil finance manager Marco Moroni presented the Group’s initiatives and projects in the sector to the audience.

Trannin was part of the ‘Financing of distributed generation photovoltaic panels’ session, which debated themes such as more competitive financing lines; attractive projects for investors; risk-return relationship and the main challenges to overcome.
Meanwhile, Moroni integrated the ‘Financing of large-scale photovoltaic plants in Brazil’ panel, which spoke of the existing financing models for large-scale solar energy generation projects in the country and the alternatives for the future.

Aiming at increasing the participation of solar energy in the national electric system, Intersolar fosters dialogue between investors in order to discuss new technologies and business opportunities.

Enel Brasil operates the largest solar parks in Latin America

Enel Group has just announced the start of operations at the Ituverava and Nova Olinda parks, the largest solar generation plants in South America. Together, the two plants will be capable of generating 1,150 GWh a year, enough to supply over 500,000 Brazilian homes.

The Ituverava Park is located in the town of Tabocas do Brejo Velho, in Northeastern Bahia. The plant has more than 850,000 solar panels. Meanwhile, Nova Olinda has even more impressive figures and occupies an area of 690 hectares in the town of Ribeira do Piauí, in the semi-arid region of Piauí, with 930,000 solar panels. Enel Green Power’s new projects reaffirms the company’s leadership and Enel Group’s commitment with sustainability.
