Born on January 14th 1962 in Italy and with an Electrical Engineering degree from Padova University, Roberto Zanchi joined Enel Group in 1991 in the Distribution department in Italy, where he worked until the end of 2014, holding several positions in the organisation over the years. Zanchi has 26 years of experience in electricity distribution, with roles such as Head of Planning and Control in the Distribution of Triveneto (1997/1998); Head
of the Operational Areas of Verona and Venice (1998/2006); Head of Operation and Maintenance area for Regions Friuli Venezia Giulia (2007) and Toscana and Umbria (2008); Head of the Planning and Works areas of high and medium voltage in Region Campania (2008/2010); and Distribution Director for Regions Puglia and Basilicata (2010/2014). In 2015, he was the Head of Global Infrastructure & Network of the Network Design area. Since 2016 he has worked in Brazil, previously as Head of Planning & Engineering , and now as CEO of Enel Distribuição Ceará.
