Carlo Zorzoli was born in Italy and has an undergraduate degree in electrical engineering from the University of Rome and an MBA from Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business, North Carolina. He was appointed in 2015 as CEO of Enel Green Power in Latin America.

He has 20 years of experience in the power sector and joined the group in 1996, in the distribution area. He held leadership positions in project development in Brazil and the United Arab Emirates (2000 to 2002), and then in business development in the United States and Central America (2003 to 2007) and in the Iberian Peninsula and Latin America (2009 to 2013). He was also responsible for Enel Green Power’s Italian maintenance operations from 2013 to 2015.

Carlo also led Enel’s entry into Mexico – where he was the country manager from 2008 to 2009 – through the acquisition of a number of hydroelectric plants. He has expertise in power generation technology and business development plans.
