Change aligns with record investment volume announced by the Group in distribution across the country reinforcing the company’s commitment to concessions in Rio, São Paulo, and Ceará.
São Paulo, April 15th, 2025 – Enel is rebranding and reinforcing its commitment to operations in Brazil. This change coincides with a record investment volume announced by the Group: R$ 25.3 billion, with R$ 24 billion allocated to distribution from 2025 to 2027.
"The new visual identity marks an evolution for the company in the country, highlighted by record investments in energy distribution across the three states where we operate. We are modernizing our infrastructure with a focus on digitalization and the resilience of the power grid, while also expanding our field teams and boosting the capacity of customer service channels," said Antonio Scala, CEO of Enel Brazil.
In distribution, the announced resources will focus on technology, modernization, and grid expansion. The company will increase investments in digitalization, automation, and improvements to the distribution system in São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, and Ceará.
To accelerate customer service, the company is ramping up the hiring of in-house field workers. Around 5,000 new hires are being made across the three states. The hiring process is underway, with over 2,000 professionals already hired between 2024 and March this year. The company is also developing skilled labor by partnering with schools to train electricians in the three states.
Strengthening the operational plan
In addition to hiring, the reinforced operational plan includes increased preventive actions such as maintenance and tree trimming, which have already led to improved results.
During the summer period, from November to March this year, the company reduced the average response time (ART) to customers by about 50% in São Paulo, 40% in Rio, and 30% in Ceará, compared to the same period the previous year.
Investments in São Paulo will total R$ 10.4 billion by 2027, 67% more than the previous plan. In Rio, the investment will be about R$ 6.1 billion over three years, a 74% increase over the previous plan. Ceará will receive R$ 7.4 billion in the same period, a 54% increase.
In power generation, Enel is a leader in solar and wind energy, and it has doubled its installed capacity in the country in recent years toover 6.6 GW.
Brand change for customers
Electricity bills featuring the new logo will begin distribution in May. In April, the bill will include a notice about the change.
For the launch, three physical stores will debut the new visual identity starting today: in Taboão da Serra, São Paulo; São Gonçalo, Rio de Janeiro; and downtown Fortaleza, Ceará. Other stores will be updated gradually, as will the company’s fleet, including trucks, cars, and motorcycles. The new brand will also be applied to technicians’ uniforms and the company’s digital channels.
Reinforcing our commitment, our logo changes color to be closer to the country and Brazilians.
